At this time, the local agricultural economy, with its high quality
production has brought economic relief. In recent decades the production
of other typical wines has increased i.e.: Falanghina, Code di
Volpe and Greco. All have been included in the selection
of the Taburno D.O.C. The local administration that guides this zone
is recognised for the promotion of this area. For example, proposing the
Feast of the Aglianico, that has now become a D.O.C. wine.
They have conditioned the wine-growers to improve their grounds more and
more. Therefore, their fruits are being harvested, for the first time,
for regional, and then both national and foreign markets.
From 1973, in the first week of September, the town organizes a
Feast. It has become very popular, and is a very important date
on the calendar for the farmers who are given the opportunity to show
their products. During this week many debates take place in regard to
problems that are present for the wine producers. However, these
arguments are placed aside, to focus on the local culture,
paintings, exposure to the craftsmanship and local
products. It all ends with tasting of the wine of year.
